Biography

Thomas is a third year student at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in economics and minoring in mathematics. Thomas has worked as a research assistant for Dr. Christian von Drathen, analyzing topics such as patents, peer effects, and stock indices. He plans on writing his senior thesis on how mergers affect an industry’s innovative output. In addition to research, Thomas participated in two years of collegiate policy debate and finished as quarterfinalist at the cross-examination national debate tournament. After completing his undergraduate studies, Thomas plans on pursuing a doctoral degree in economics and a career in academic research.
