Biography

Morganne Blaylock is a junior Eugene McDermott Scholar at The University of Texas at Dallas and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in political science. On campus, she helps lead the bipartisan group No Labels, project manages a combat robotics team, and writes a satirical advice column. During her time in college, she has studied the role of wind energy in Texas through professional and academic experiences. She is interested in studying the intersection of engineering and public policy, especially with regards to energy. Blaylock would like to study emerging energy fields. She hopes to gain insights about the political environment surrounding these in order to pursue the intersection of engineering and policy.
