Biography
Antonio (Tony) Hernandez is a Gates Millennium Scholar and a Liberal Arts Honors student at The University of Texas at Austin double-majoring in government and rhetoric and writing. Hernandez has worked at the Undergraduate Writing Center, mentored students at the Leadership and Ethics Institute, and served as a GLAAD campus ambassador. After studying abroad in France, he interned with Project Vote Smart, Deeds Not Words, and Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s district office in Austin, Texas. Hernandez is interested in health care, education and environmental policy, as well as civil and human rights.
