Louisa Xie

Louisa Xie is a biochemistry major and member of the Collegium V Honors Program at The University of Texas at Dallas. She served as co-captain for the Women's Ultimate Frisbee team and as sports coordinator for the Filipino Student Association. During the 85th Texas Legislative Session, Xie interned with State Representative Eric Johnson (D-100), tackling pay equity and transparency. She also conducted bioengineering research at UT Dallas, focusing on the CRISPR/Cas9 system. After graduation, Xie plans to attend medical school and work as a primary care physician with a focus in public health and health care policy.
