Biography
Samantha Acuña is pursuing a Bachelor's of Arts in political science with a minor in business management from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During her time as a student at UT Rio Grande Valley, Acuña has been involved in the Model United Nations Club and is also a Greater Texas Foundation and UT Rio Grande Valley Scholar. Previously, Acuña has worked as a legislative intern for the Texas State Senator Eddie Lucio Jr. (D-27). Acuña hopes to become an immigration lawyer and advocate for those who are underrepresented in the area she grew up in — the Rio Grande Valley.
