Biography
Steven Santoyo is a communication studies major, government minor, and Moody College of Communication Honors senior from Dallas, Texas. He is a first-generation college student at The University of Texas at Austin with involvements in UT Austin Student Government, The Communication Council, and The Friar Society. In 2016, he founded Type Texas, the first student organization at UT-Austin aimed at connecting, inspiring, and empowering students living with Type-1 Diabetes. Additionally, he works on campus as a resident assistant and campus tour guide. Following his semester in Washington, D.C., Santoyo plans to attend law school in the fall of 2019.
