Alejandra Nevarez

Alejandra Nevarez is a first-generation, Terry Scholarship recipient at The University of Texas at El Paso majoring in media advertising with a double minor in marketing and psychology. She is the Treasurer and Outreach Coordinator of The Immigration Initiative, a non-profit organization started by young activists in El Paso, Texas, aimed towards educating immigrants seeking asylum and individuals undergoing the U.S. naturalization process. Her policy interests include immigration reforms and human rights.After graduation, Nevarez hopes to pursue a Master's in Communication to advocate for immigrants’ needs at both the local and national level.
