Biography
Axum Taylor is a junior majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in public health at The University of Texas at Austin. She recently transferred to UT Austin from The University of Texas at Dallas, where she participated with the Public Health Initiative, Black Student Alliance, and the UT Dallas' Multicultural Center. Taylor is particularly interested in reproductive health and the ongoing fight to advocate for comprehensive basic health education in all public institutions. After completing her degree, Taylor intends to obtain a master’s in public health in addition to returning to Washington, D.C., to pursue a career in government aid and policy reform.
