Biography
Kerry Mackenzie is a third-year Forty Acres Scholar studying Plan II Honors and government at The University of Texas at Austin. On campus, she was the Speaker of the 114th Student Government Assembly, a First Amendment Scholar, and a Texas Civic Ambassador. Off campus, Mackenzie has interned for Texas State Senator Jane Nelson (D-12) and the Texas State Senate Finance Committee, held a position as a research intern at the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life, and interned for the Office of Governmental Relations at The University of Texas System. After graduation, she plans to earn a master’s in public policy and a law degree.
