Biography
Marcela Fuentes Anaya is a first-generation Mexican American college student majoring in political science and organizational corporate communication at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she is also a member of the UT El Paso Honors Program. She currently serves as Texas Civic Ambassador with the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life and an Election Protection Fellow with Common Cause Texas. She acknowledges the importance of civic engagement and activism within communities to empower its members and currently serves as vice president of IGNITE UT El Paso and the Mexican Council for Social Change at UT El Paso.
