Biography
Austin Rios is a senior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in biochemistry with a minor in psychology. He is a proud product of the Summer Health Professions Education Program at UTHealth Houston, the Pre-Medical Enrichment Program at UCLA, and the Summer Internship Program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. With first-hand knowledge of the barriers to accessing healthcare, he is committed to help reduce health disparities. After graduation, Rios plans to attend medical school and continue to work in under-resourced communities. For fun, he is a clarinetist, dog-lover, and horror movie fanatic.
