Biography
Forough Askarirad is a senior and Terry Scholar at The University of Texas at San Antonio double majoring in psychology and global affairs. Askarirad has created a mental health awareness initiative on campus called Mental Health Day through her student organization, studied abroad in Italy, and has been awarded numerous accolades for her achievements. Askarirad is involved with the community of San Antonio and has interned with U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (TX-35) and twice with the City of San Antonio’s immigration liaison. After graduation, she plans to attend law school in pursuit of becoming an immigration lawyer.
