Isaac James is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin double majoring in government and Plan II Honors with a minor in LGBTQ studies. On campus, he served as vice president of the Senate of College Councils, chief justice of the Student Government Supreme Court, director of the Queer and Trans Student Alliance, and editor-in-chief of the Texas Undergraduate Law Review. To further his interest in LGBTQIA-inclusive education policy, James sits on the GLSEN Austin Board of Directors, pursued internships with the Texas House LGBTQ Caucus and Equality Texas, and was a Victory Congressional Intern with U.S. Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18). After graduation, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career at the intersections of law, education policy, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
