Biography

Mark-Joseph León is a senior at The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in global affairs with a minor in politics and law. He has served as both the marshall of recruitment and president of the Pre-Law Association, a copyeditor and contributing member to The Paisano, and a member of the Model UN Society, Global Intelligence Association, Philosophy Club, Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), and Osgood Center for International Studies. In 2020, he was named a Millennium Fellow by the United Nations Academic Impact initiative and Millennium Campus Network. León is a community activist and participates in organizing efforts for the Democratic Socialists of America and Texas Organizing Project. After graduation, he plans to earn master’s degrees in political theory and economics before attending law school.
