Jimena Soto is a junior in the Collegium V Honors Program at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in political science with a minor in Spanish. Soto is passionate about advocating for equitable higher education in marginalized communities. On campus, she has served as vice president for the League of United Latin American Citizens and was actively involved in UT Dallas’ Terry Scholars Program and the Women Pursuing Law student organization. Off campus, Soto has volunteered with Time To Heal America, a nonprofit organization that creates funding for higher education and job opportunities for low-income formerly incarcerated individuals. Over the past two years, she has worked and interned as a legal assistant, data and financial analyst, and case manager within the legal field. After graduation, Soto plans to attend law school and continue to serve her community.
