Ria Bhasin is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in public health with certificates in children and society and pre-health professions. Bhasin is passionate about health equity and maintains a diverse set of interests in medicine, public health, music, and research. On campus, Bhasin has held roles as the co-director of data and research as well as co-chair for the Food Insecurity Action Team, a research assistant for the Gender Health Equity Lab, a member of Dell Medical School's Health Apprenticeship Program, and an academic policy director for UT Student Government. Off campus, she has interned for the International Rescue Committee as a health access intern as well as Eli Lilly as a market access intern. Upon graduation, Bhasin plans to pursue a career in medicine and healthcare advocacy.
