Biography
Saumya Gunampalli is a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in public policy with a minor in political science. On campus, she is part of the Honors College as a National Merit Scholar and has served as president for the South Asian American Voter Empowerment student organization. Off campus, she has worked at nonprofit organizations such as The Borgen Project and Avow Texas, working to address global poverty and advocate for abortion access. After graduation, Gunampalli plans to attend law school and pursue a career in health law and policy.
