Dia Rickert is a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas, double-majoring in global business and marketing with a minor in psychology. She is deeply passionate about connecting people to resources that strengthen communities. As communications coordinator for The Storehouse Community Center, she created bilingual digital content and email outreach to connect neighbors with food, clothing, and educational support. On campus, Rickert has held leadership roles in Kappa Alpha Theta as philanthropy director and vice president of membership. In these roles, she helped build a more inclusive, service-driven chapter and led a campaign that raised $10,000 for Court Appointed Special Advocates, funding training for CASA volunteers who support children in foster care. She has also mentored in several capacities, including working as a resident advisor and an advisor for The Storehouse Community Center’s Youth Leadership Council, where she helped shape the program’s culture and structure to promote service among high school students and create a welcoming environment for all participants. She is passionate about women’s leadership, civic engagement, and the use of creative media to amplify the voices that are often unheard. As an Archer Fellow, Rickert hopes to bring that same people-first approach to public policy and strengthen the connection between government and the communities it serves.
